This beautiful piece of lava stone cut into a perfectly drop shaped cabochon comes directly from Mount Etna, an active volcano in Sicily.

Etna has fascinated men for several thousands of years, due to its spectacular and explosive eruptions. It has inspired generations of poets and artists from all the cultures that have ruled over Sicily: Greeks, Romans, Arabs, Normans and contemporary European artists have all used this fiery mountain as a source of inspiration.
